LitBuy Payment Not Working: Check the Attempt Before Repeating It

If a LitBuy payment is not working, start by identifying the result of the attempt you already made. A failed page load, a declined payment and an unresolved payment status are different situations. Repeating the action before understanding the first result can create more uncertainty.

Keep the order reference, amount, currency, time and exact message together. Do not include passwords, complete card details or verification codes in screenshots shared for help.

Identify where the attempt stopped

Observed situationNext question
The payment screen does not openDid the attempt reach the provider, or fail earlier?
Verification does not completeWhat does the intended verification flow say?
An explicit decline appearsWhich provider issued the message, and what does it instruct?
The provider shows a pending entryWhat kind of pending transaction is it?
A completed payment appears but the order is unchangedWhich order does that payment reference concern?

These are diagnostic questions, not a claim that every provider uses the same terminology. Read the explanation attached to your actual transaction instead of treating all incomplete-looking states as identical.

Pending is not one universal outcome

PayPal's US help explanation of pending orders, checked on 23 September 2026, distinguishes an authorisation from a payment captured by the seller. That example explains why a pending authorisation should not be interpreted as a completed payment merely from its amount.

It does not establish that every pending LitBuy transaction is an authorisation, or that another provider uses the same process. Open the details for the actual entry and ask the relevant provider if its meaning remains unclear. Do not apply an expiry or refund interval from an unrelated example.

Compare the platform and provider records

Check that both records concern the same attempt. Match the reference, amount and time where available, keeping currencies distinct. A similar amount alone is not enough to connect two entries, especially if you have already tried more than once.

If the provider reports completion while the order does not reflect it, ask LitBuy support to reconcile the identified attempt. If the provider reports a decline or an unclear authorisation, seek clarification about that status through the provider's appropriate channel. Avoid inventing the reason from a generic error.

The payment methods guide explains what to compare before confirmation. The support guide helps you send the relevant information privately.

Do not change several things at once

Before switching methods or creating another order, establish what happened to the original attempt. A new method does not automatically cancel a previous authorisation or resolve a completed charge.

Likewise, changing the basket, coupon and payment method together makes a later amount harder to explain. Keep any new attempt tied to a clear purchase and confirm whether proceeding is appropriate after the unresolved state has been addressed.

Do not disable security controls or give someone remote access to your account to bypass a payment message. Verification belongs in the intended flow, not in a social message promising to fix the order.

Send a reconciliation request, not a guessed diagnosis

A useful message states what each record shows and asks for the specific next step. For example:

My payment-provider record and the order status show different results for the same attempt. I have included the relevant reference, time, amount and redacted screenshots. Please confirm whether this payment is associated with the order before I make another attempt.

This is a sample message, not an actual transaction report. Replace it with the facts of your case. Keep the case reference for follow-ups and identify any new event rather than opening unrelated conversations with different descriptions of the same attempt.

If a refund or reversal is discussed, ask which transaction it concerns and what confirmation describes the current stage. Do not treat an investigation or a promise to check as proof that funds have already returned.

Questions about failed payments

Does an error page prove that nothing happened?

No. Check the relevant records before deciding whether the attempt created a transaction.

Does a pending entry mean I should pay again?

Not without understanding the entry. Identify its type and clarify the status before making another attempt.

Can I fix this with a discount code?

A discount changes eligible pricing under its conditions; it is not a general remedy for an unresolved transaction. Use the coupon guide for offer questions separately.

What if the problem occurs before I can access the order?

The login guide distinguishes account-access problems from payment processing. Restore the relevant access without assuming that a new account contains the earlier order.

Return to the buying guide after the payment state is clear.
